Frontiers In Reproduction - Reunion Symposium Registration
Thursday, June 12, 2008 - Saturday, June 14, 2008
(Symposium functions start at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday and end at about 9:00 P.M. on Saturday)
Registraton Deadline: Monday, April 21, 2008

Important: This is an APPLICATION to attend the 2008 FIR Symposium. Due to scheduling and funding constraints—and a growing number of alumni—we give presentation and financial priority to the 5th year reunion class, and to those who have not made presentations or attended previous symposiums.

We process all received registrations, begin assembling a program (based on submitted presentation abstracts and titles), and calculate travel reimbursements after the registration deadline of Monday, April 21, 2008. Notifications about who will be presenting talks, and availability of travel funds for each participant will be sent out as soon as possible after the deadline.

Not sure you can attend? Please submit a registration form if you are considering attending (even if you are uncertain of your plans); we cannot accommodate you if we do not know you are thinking of attending!

Should the symposium schedule and/or funding permit, we will consider reservations made after the Monday, April 21, 2008 deadline. Note that each year this becomes more difficult, so it is worth planning early.

Should you have any additional information that you wish to share with us, or questions about the symposium, please contact Dori Chrysler Mebane, Symposium Coordinator (dmebane@mbl.edu)

Presentation Information

Returning alumni are asked to submit a one-page abstract with the title of their proposed 10-minute presentation on current research (please see “Presentations” at the symposium website). Talks will be followed by a 5-minute Q&A session. We request that you prepare new information rather than repeating material presented at any previous FIR symposiums. Please note also that titles relevant to reproductive science are preferred.

Scheduling priority is given to the 5th year reunion class, those who have not made presentations at previous symposiums, and to topics which are most relevant to all the others being submitted. You will be notified about scheduling of your talk after the registration deadline (Monday, April 21, 2008) when all proposed titles have been received. If you are notified that you will be making a presentation, please bring with you a CD with your prepared talk.

I wish to present a 10 minute talk on my current research & activities. Please provide the title of your presentation below, and submit a 1-page abstract via e-mail to dmebane@mbl.edu (please see “Presentations” at the FIR symposium website for details.):

I will not present a talk, but I wish to attend the symposium. (Travel funding priority goes to alumni making presentations; please see travel information section below for more information).

Hotel Reservation Information
